What to expect from the tour?
We'll pick you up directly from your hotel or home in Antigua and take you in a comfortable shared vehicle to Pacaya Volcano. The approximately one-hour journey will take you to the picturesque village located at the foot of the volcano.
Upon arrival, you'll begin an approximately 1.5-hour hike to the summit of the volcano. During the trek, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the volcanic landscape, and, if the volcano is active, you may even witness live volcanic activity.
Pizza Show:
Once at the crater, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a pizza-making show with the chef, who will prepare artisanal pizzas and cook them on the hot volcanic rocks. You can choose from a variety of fresh toppings to add to your pizza. Participants will enjoy the magic of watching their pizza being cooked outdoors, while taking in a breathtaking view of the volcano and the surrounding natural beauty. During this time, you can participate in the fun activity of roasting marshmallows or cotton candy on the hot volcanic rocks (always under the supervision of your guide to ensure you do so safely). You'll also enjoy stunning views, including the famous Calderas Lagoon, located near the volcano. After enjoying this unique experience, you'll begin the descent, which will last approximately one hour.
Available times:
Option 1: 6:00 am – Return at 12:30 pm
Option 2: 2:00 pm – Return at 8:00 pm
Recommendations:
Bring 1 liter of water to stay hydrated during the tour.
Don't forget a snack or sandwich to recharge your energy during the walk.
Wear comfortable, closed shoes (preferably hiking shoes) to avoid slipping.
Wear long pants in case you encounter slippery terrain.
If you take the tour in the afternoon, bring a flashlight as the return trip can be a bit dark.

Change of destination without surcharge, please notify 72 hours in advance
Cancellations made less than 4 days before the tour will receive a 50% refund.
No refund for failure to show up for the tour.
Requesting changes during service is subject to an extra charge.
