What to expect from the tour?

Breathtaking Landscapes: From the start of the tour, you'll be surrounded by lush vegetation. As you ascend the volcano, you'll encounter challenging yet incredibly beautiful terrain. You'll experience ever-changing scenery as you climb. Base Camp: After a one-hour hike, you'll arrive at the base camp, where your transport will drop you off. This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a spectacular sunset. From here, you can observe the Fuego volcano in action, emitting fumaroles and sometimes even small eruptions, offering a truly impressive natural spectacle. Sunrise over the Volcano: One of the most breathtaking experiences.

The highlight of the tour is the sunrise from the summit of Acatenango. You'll have the opportunity to see the sun illuminate the mountainous landscape and enjoy panoramic views of the nearby volcanoes.

What does the 4x4 tour include?

Transportation in 4x4 vehicles: Enjoy a scenic and comfortable journey to the Acatenango volcano in all-terrain vehicles specially designed to overcome difficult terrain, making the adventure even more exciting. Meals: Dinner on the first day and breakfast on the following day. You can choose between regular, vegan, or vegetarian meals.

Hot drinks, campfire.

Mountain Equipment: Hat, gloves, jacket.

Expert guides: Our specialized guides will accompany you throughout the tour, providing information about the geography, history, and wildlife of the area. The 4x4 tour will take you along mountain roads and trails, allowing you to reach a point near the base camp. From there, it's just a 45-minute walk, after which you can enjoy spectacular views of the Fuego Volcano, as our cabins are located directly opposite it. You'll also have the opportunity to experience the local culture in nearby villages as you head towards the volcano.

SCHEDULES:

11:00 departure from Antigua, from our shared location point at the time of purchase

4:00 pm Arrival at the base, rest and enjoy the wonderful view of

Volcano of fire. Then an afternoon of bonfire.

Next day: 3:00 am hike to the highest peak of the volcano to enjoy a beautiful sunrise, then we descend to the base for breakfast and begin the descent.

The descent begins at 7:00 am.

10:00 am arrival in Antigua

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR WHAT TO BRING:

Flashlight, extra warm clothing, walking stick, scarf, rain poncho if needed, chocolates, nuts, sweets and an energy drink if desired, bring 1 Coca-Cola, minimum 3 liters of water, sun hat, insect repellent, toilet paper, backpack of at least 40 liters, climbing boots, or sports shoes

Change of destination without surcharge, please notify 72 hours in advance

Cancellations made less than 4 days before the tour will receive a 50% refund.

No refund for failure to show up for the tour.
