Acatenango in 1 day walking

We offer you the best experiences in Guatemala, and the adventure to the Acatenango volcano is one of our most exciting!

We also have a private one-day option for those who prefer a quicker but equally impressive experience.

SCHEDULES

We depart from Antigua at 11:00 PM or at a time of your choosing, and head directly to the village where the hike begins. The hike, which lasts 4 to 6 hours depending on the group's fitness level, is always guided by our experts, who will make your experience a memorable one.

Arrival at the base camp, the highest point of the volcano, is at 4:00 AM. You'll have the opportunity to wait for sunrise and enjoy one of the most spectacular views in Guatemala. From there, you can see the breathtaking sunsets, the volcanic chain, and, most impressively, the red lava flowing from the Fuego volcano. A natural spectacle you won't want to miss!

At 6:00 am the descent to the village will begin, where the vehicle will be waiting for you to return to Antigua.

9:00 am would be the arrival at the village of La Soledad

10:00 am arrival in Antigua. Approximate time, it could be earlier or later, depending on how fast the group walks.

OBSERVATIONS

If the 11 pm time slot doesn't suit your needs, we'll work around your schedule. A minimum of two people is required.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR WHAT TO BRING:

Flashlight, warm clothing, walking stick, scarf, rain poncho if needed, chocolates, nuts, sweets and an energy drink if desired, bring 1 Coca-Cola, at least 3 liters of water, sun hat, insect repellent, toilet paper, backpack of at least 40 liters, climbing boots, or sports shoes

CANCELLATION POLICIES:

Date changes are free of charge. Please notify us 72 hours before your tour.

Change of destination without surcharge, please notify 72 hours in advance

Cancellations made less than 4 days before the tour will receive a 50% refund.

Failure to show up for the tour will result in no refund.

Requesting changes during service is subject to an extra charge.
